Quite
simply, a more prestigious address.
If you appreciate the finer things that life has to
offer then the Costa del Sol is where you belong. Affording
you the quality of lifestyle you deserve along with
the vibrancy and zest of international living, the
Costa del Sol never fails to impress.
Having one of the most delightful climates in Europe,
great beaches, an abundance of golf courses and a beautiful
natural environment, there are also many interesting
places to visit.
 Europe's
highest ski pass and slopes are only two hours drive
away. The Alhambra Palace in Granada and the Mosque
in Cordoba are prominent examples of Moorish architecture
in Spain. The cities of Ronda and Seville, the heart
of Andalucia, are also both close by.
Andalucía is the birthplace of flamenco and
renowned for its people's love of colour, movement
and fiesta. Sunshine, laughter, festivity, music, painting,
architecture and sport sum up the Andalucian way of
life.
To the west of Malaga airport the first few miles
of the coast are taken up by the busy resorts of Torremolinos,
Benalmádena and Fuengirola. Inland of here are
a number of towns and villages with property in a rural
setting, such as Coín, Alhaurín and Mijas.
The
resort of Marbella seems to have it all and is, once
again, rising to the fore as a destination of choice.
Further on is Puerto Banús, the ultimate in
coastal charisma where the nightlife is electric. Sample
the alfresco bars, restaurants and discos which are
open dusk until dawn.
Further
west, the bustle starts to slip away and soon we reach
Estepona, where the traditions of the old town happily
coexist alongside the new and exciting.
Less than an hour from Malaga airport, and much less from
Gibraltar airport, is Sotogrande, with its manicured golf
courses, wide tree lined avenues, and secluded villas.
Famous for prestigious championship golf courses, including
Valderrama, host course for the 1997 Ryder Cup, two beach
clubs, three Polo grounds and a superb yachting harbour.
Indeed, the golf
courses along this 50-mile stretch of coast now
number over thirty. This concentration of quality golf
courses, coupled with the unique sunny and warm
winter climate of the area, has led to its becoming
a winter golf destination of choice for many. For
those wishing a more snow-filled winter break, skiing
on the Sierra Nevada to the east of Malaga is recommended.

Also
east of Malaga, a popular choice is Nerja, which lies
in one of Spain's richest farming areas and offers
a variety of urban and rural settings plus fine beaches
and spectacular views.
One of the best known Spanish locations surely has
to be Spain's sun-drenched Marbella. Whether you enjoy
sun-trap beaches, crystal clear turquoise seas or the
best of Spanish nightlife, cuisine and culture, Marbella
is the obvious choice for those of us who want to be
in the sun and yet still be amongst a huge English
population.
